Licenciada em Ciências da Nutrição pela Faculdade de Ciências da Nutrição e Alimentação da Universidade do Porto e doutorada em Ciências do Desporto pela Faculdade de Desporto da Universidade do Porto. É ainda detentora do IOC Diploma in Sports Nutrition pelo Comité Olímpico Internacional.
Atualmente é Professora Auxiliar Convidada na NOVA Medical School|Faculdade de Ciências Médicas da Universidade NOVA de Lisboa na área de Nutrição e Metabolismo. É também investigadora no grupo ProNutri - Clinical Nutrition & Disease Programming, CINTESIS - Center for Health Technology and Services Research.
Exerce funções clínicas na Unidade Universitária Lifestyle Medicine - José de Mello Saúde by NOVA Medical School, Hospital CUF Descobertas e na Federação Portuguesa de Atletismo. É também consultora externa na área da Nutrição da Medical & Anti-doping Commission da European Athletics.

É autora de diversas publicações em revistas internacionais com arbitragem científica tendo participado em mais de 40 conferências por convite.
Degree in Nutrition Sciences from the Faculty of Nutrition and Food Sciences of the University of Porto and a PhD in Sport Sciences from the Faculty of Sport of the University of Porto. She is also holder of the IOC Diploma in Sports Nutrition by the International Olympic Committee.

She performs clinical duties at the Lifestyle Medicine-José de Mello Saúde University Unit by NOVA Medical School, Hospital CUF Descobertas and at the Portuguese Athletics Federation. She is also an external consultant in the area of Nutrition for the Medical & Anti-doping Commission of European Athletics.
She has authored several publications in peer-reviewed international journals and has participated in more than 40 conferences by invitation.
