Andreia Oliveira

Oliveira A. (ORCID ID: 0000-0002-6714-5939) graduated in Nutrition and Food Sciences from the University of Porto in 2003 and completed a Ph.D degree in Public Health from the University of Porto Medical School in 2010 (holds the European Ph.D title). Oliveira A. conducted post-doctoral research on determining factors and critical periods in food habit formation and breaking in early childhood within the European multicentre HabEat project, supported by the Seventh Framework Programme (FP7-KBBE-2009-3), working in collaborative research with birth cohorts from Europe, such as ALSPAC (UK), EDEN (France) and Europrevall (Greece).

Oliveira A. collaborated as a researcher in several national and international projects, and published more than 50 full-text original papers in international peer reviewed journals, two book chapters and two e-books. She was the PI of the project aiming at understanding the dynamics of childhood body fat and the mediating effect of dietary patterns and eating behaviours (PTDC/SAU-EPI/121532/2010), and was the National Field Coordinator of the National Food, Nutrition and Physical Activity Survey of the Portuguese general population, 2015-2016 with EEA Grants.

Presently, Oliveira A. is a FCT Investigator (FCT Investigator Programme 2015) having as host institution the Institute of Public Health, University of Porto. She integrates the faculty of the Global Public Health Ph.D Programme, and is a Research fellow at the Epidemiology Research Unit from the Institute of Public Health of the University of Porto (EPI-Unit: UID-DTP/04750/2013). She collaborates in lecturing with the University of Porto and with the Fernando Pessoa University.
